Danos Coatings Crew Recognized

Our Danos coatings crew, led by Foreman Merick Chambers, was recently recognized by SPLC Offshore Coatings Program Manager Jeffrey Brown for exceptional safety measures used while on a job following the holidays.

While on SP 89 setting up for blasting, our Danos coatings crew began applying filter media to generators, one within six feet of a handrail over water. They ensured that all safety measures were taken and that the proper fall protection equipment was worn, including personal flotation devices. (PFD)

Rope Access Transition Demonstration

​I'd like to recognize Lori Henry, field lease operator, for her submission of the W.A.T.C.H. card.

Lori was traveling to work in a company truck when she came upon a crashed trailer that was abandoned. The trailer had an excavator in the lane Lori was traveling in, and when she noticed it, she quickly locked her brakes, avoiding a near head-on collision.

Danos Materials Management Team Recognized at Westlake Campus

On November 13, Rob Salter with BP Exploration addressed our Danos materials management team at the BP Westlake campus in Houston in regards to Puma. Puma is a well in the Gulf of Mexico that BP entered into a joint venture with before the lease expiration date. BP was up against time as they only had five months to begin planning, preparing and executing the drilling of the well. Read More...
