Congratulations to Coatings Superintendent Andy Ho on being selected as the 2017 Dwain "Hog" Carrell Field Employee of the Year! Andy has gained the respect of his colleagues by always treating them like family. As for customers, they continue to request his crew because of his ability to complete projects on time and under budget while operating at the highest level of safety. The customers Andy has served had some great things to say upon hearing the news:
"Andy has done a wonderful job for us at Olympus! He demonstrates care for his crew and everyone else on the Olympus asset on a daily basis. He truly deserves
this honor. Please share my congratulations with Andy. It’s great to see one of our “paint guys” recognized in such a manner."
"My sincere thanks and appreciation to Andy for the Safety Goal Zero mindset he and his crew carries with him wherever he goes. I personally feel honored to know Andy and his crew. They do great work and Andy is never one to rest on his laurels. Take care of your own well-being, then your coworkers and the rest—leadership, culture, care, and respect— will fall into place."
“Not only does his crew respect him; the platform operators and operation managers respect him."
Coatings Operations Manager Clay Carter thinks the honor is well-deserved. "Andy's crew is a family both on and offshore. The crew often boils crawfish and celebrates birthdays together with their wives and kids. This goes a long way with how the crew performs when they head back offshore. The vision for Danos is to become the standard for operational excellence and customer service by which every company in our industry is measured. I can’t say for certain that Shell believes that Andy and his crew are the measuring stick, but the efficiency on this campaign and comments I heard second hand made by Shell leadership when visiting, help us believe we are moving in that direction."
