4WARD: Efficient Execution

By: Michael Schwertz

In June 2014, Danos embarked on a major undertaking to replace its accounting system with a modern ERP that encompasses all phases of our business. During the process, we identified what we needed the system to do and what software packages meet those requirements. We then made a selection and implemented it at the start of 2016.

Earlier this year, Danos kicked off an ERP maturation project to continuously improve and enhanced the ERP system and further integrate it into the core business of Danos. Danos team members have worked on initiatives to tightly integrate the applicant system with the intranet/ERP and to provide real-time visibility of costs/revenue. These improvements will provide Danos employees additional information and tools to enhance service to our customers while providing significant improvements in our time-collecting process.

Improved time collection has come to fruition and team members have begun the rollout of a new time ticket for all divisions. Taking advantage of some of the latest technology enhancements allows tickets to load faster, as well as provide better support for various devices that are web enabled. Additionally, the same ticket format will be utilized by all lines of business and provide for a uniform presentation to the customers of Danos. Multiple projects can now be included on the same ticket which will reduce the number of approvals per customer. More information will be provided as Danos rolls out this change enterprise wide. Below is a sample of the ticket screen.

Danos seeks to live our value of improvement by continuously improving systems and processes to provide Efficient Execution to customers and employees. We have built a strong foundation by implementing the ERP and system enhancements which will allow Danos to adapt to changes in customer requirements, market conditions and new lines of businesses.
