Eight Years IFO at Chevron PMF

Congratulations to the Danos team at Chevron’s Preservation and Maintenance Facility (PMF) who marked eight years without a recordable incident earlier this month! This is an incredible milestone.

The atmosphere at the Chevron PMF is that of a TEAM. I believe this attitude and culture plays a big part in the success that the PMF has experienced over the past 8 years. Everyone may wear a different uniform or hat, but they work as one team.

Congratulations on another year of incident-free operations (IFO)! Your continued hard work and dedication to doing this the right way, every time, will allow successes like these to continue.

Brandon Simoneaux, PMF team lead, summed it up well, saying:

Everyone,

I would like to point out that today marks eight years of IFO at the PMF. This is a job well done by each and every one of you.

In the workplace, there are those critical moments where a mistake can cost a limb or life. After an incident, quality of life can change drastically, but it doesn’t end with the individual… it affects their spouse, children and beyond.

It is quite an accomplishment to operate incident free eight years in a row, but I am most appreciative of this year’s milestone. We have all been impacted by the Coronavirus and the toll it has taken on our community. We have worked split schedules, rotated scheduled days off and some have had to isolate and quarantine for a period of time… All of you have kept the necessary level of focus when performing the work, and that is quite the achievement.

Sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff, but I challenge everyone to eliminate complacency and continue to strive for excellence… while operating incident free.
