A Couple of Moves Cut Costs for Customers

By: The Pipeline

Danos Clerk Bruce Frichter was recognized by Shell for taking a Bias to Action and suggesting that certain personnel on his platform crew change on Tuesdays versus Wednesdays. When crew changing on Wednesdays, the platform had to purchase additional flights.

By moving them to Tuesdays, they were able to utilize the flights that had empty seats. Ram Powell should begin the new flight plans this week. Bruce's bias to action will save his platform between $15,000 and $16,000 a month.

Danos Materials Manager Sonya Vazquez recently cut our customer’s costs by adjusting their current racking system in order to create more levels to store additional stock. By just raising the lower rack and adding shelves, she was able to create 5 times more space, which resulted in an immediate savings of $10,900.

Additionally, she noticed that the price for materials from their main vendor seemed high. She acquired a quote from another vendor which significantly lowered costs. By switching vendors, she saved an additional annual cost of $65,598.
