A Hiss Turns into a Near Miss

Last week, Danos Coatings Foreman Eric Bergman noticed a loud hissing noise when arriving on the job site. After further investigation, he noticed that the reboiler was leaking a massive amount of natural gas.

He immediately called the operator, stopped the job, and got the crew outside of the gate to the muster area. He then proceeded to coordinate harbor police, firemen, and Kinetica personnel until an operator could arrive and shut in the pipeline. The company man thanked him for his efforts. Eric trusted his training which ultimately ensured the safety of the crew.
