Brother's Keeper

14-Aug-2018

On August 2, 2018, Danos Production Supervisor Richard Rowland was travelling from his home in Florida to crew change in Houma for Shell's FPSO Turritella. As he was driving, a security alert appeared on his phone alerting him that an intruder was trying to break into his home. Richard quickly called his wife who was home sleeping, but she did not answer. Richard then called one of his long-time co-workers and Danos Production Technician Michael Barrett.

Michael jumped in his truck and went to Richard's home. Upon arrival, Michael came face-to-face with the intruder and quickly apprehended the intruder without incident until law enforcement arrived. Thankfully Richard's wife had secured herself in another room.

This act of bravery is proof that the brotherhood formed out in the field goes well beyond the workplace.
