Building the Employee Experience

By: Stacey Gisclair

During initial planning discussions about the ways Danos can dominate in the market, a recurring theme was noticed. As a company, we continually receive feedback from customers and others in the industry that Danos provides a more caring, employee focused experience than many of our competitors. We believe a differentiator for us in the market is that the care extended to employees is genuine, authentic and consistent with our purpose, vision, values and high performance culture.

Danos is committed to continuing to build on the culture of caring for people by becoming even more intentional in creating a positive employee experience in ways that are valued by employees and customers. In the simplest terms, the employee experience is the sum of all the interactions and touchpoints an employee has with their employer. By targeting specific areas, we intend to leverage the culture in ways that strengthen the connection team members have with Danos. While much of the workforce is deployed to various locations and regions, there are common touchpoints and interactions that employees have with Danos.

A few highlights on focus areas for creating a positive employee experience include:

  • Target efforts throughout the year on personalized touchpoints to further build working relationships.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and recommend action plans for strengthening interactions and support for the workforce.
  • Plan leadership development sessions which will have impact on the broader employee experience given leaders are in a position of influence.
  • Implement a diversity and inclusion strategy with the intent to have a workforce that is representative of the communities where we live and work, provide equal opportunities and meet the evolving needs of our industry.

In a recent Pipeline communication, Paul Danos said, “For a team to be dominant it takes amazing team members, great people in all positions and an awesome team chemistry and culture.” We are determined to dominate by continuing to build on the details of the employee experience in ways that are consistent with our purpose, vision, values and high performance culture.
