Coatings Crew Makes an Impression

By: Clay Carter

Gene Williford with Williams had nothing but great things to say after working alongside our Danos coatings crew...

My name is Gene Williford and I am one of the Williams personnel that has had the privilege of working with your crew on MP261A. And, indeed, it has been a privilege. I can’t remember a better group of contract personnel to work with in my 40 plus years in the field...

For starters, they adhere to safe work practices and adapted to our permits and procedures smoothly and without complaint or argument. 100% safety tie off, keeping hoses and gear organized and as clearly out of the walkways as possible, clear and concise communications, professionalism and diligence in their work tasks, and cordial, friendly supportive attitudes while integrating with simultaneous operating requirements needed for occasional additional work group activities. All the while maintaining focus on safety and creative teamwork perspectives and actions. When opportunity allowed, they were also a great asset to our operating needs. At such times their support was given graciously and I never once heard “that’s not my job”.

I was never aware of any personality conflicts, demeaning or aggressive verbiage or attitudes beyond occasional pleasant picking which supported and promoted a healthy bond of team spirit with an attitude of fair play.

Their work here will be winding down soon, but I hope to have an opportunity to work with them again in future. Whether I do, or not, it’s been a pleasure and I wish them well. I thank you for the support they must have received to keep them moving and responding so well. Without that support there is no likely way they would have been so diligent. You have a great team. Thank you for sharing them with us!
