Coatings' Top Year

25-Feb-2019

2018 saw the best performing year for Danos’ coatings services, bringing a 42% growth in revenue from the previous year. In the last six months alone, fifty projects were booked, and eight of those brought in over $10 million in revenue.

Coatings Operations Manager Clay Carter attributes the group’s successful year to the great people Danos hires and the way the company treats its employees.

“Our people work to provide for their families, and we make every effort to ensure they are able to go to work and return back to their family in the condition they left home,” said Carter.

The team has been busy! In 2018, coatings employed 170 personnel and logged 278,776 man-hours, compared with last year’s 110 personnel and 186,084 man-hours. In fact, this is the most personnel and man-hours worked by coatings in Danos history, with 2013’s 228,270 man-hours a distant second.

In 2018, the coatings group purchased $2.3 million of paint – roughly 38,400 gallons. That’s enough to paint 266 football fields! And they’re not done growing – 2019 is predicted to bring a 15-percent growth over 2018, with approximately 55-60 projects expected. That’s a lot of football fields!
