Danos’ offshore coatings crew at Olympus has caught up on all atmospheric corrosion inspection (ACI) failures since becoming the maintenance contractor on Olympus.

Shell Pipeline gives Shell Upstream a budget to conduct paint work to help them stay ahead of the corrosion fight. This year, thanks to Shell Offshore Coatings Program Jeff Brown's planning and management, combined with our paint crew’s quality and productive maintenance work, the ACI was conducted with zero failures requiring mediation.

The customer was thrilled with the results of this inspection. Chad Weidert, paint activity coordinator at Shell, said, “Thanks for the work you guys do to mitigate pipeline ACIs. This is a Zero we all like!”

Fantastic work to the crew members:

  • Long Le (foreman)
  • Khanh Tran (relief foreman)
  • Hau Bui
  • Thanh Bui
