Danos Cares

The last Thursday of each month, employees at the corporate office are allowed to wear jeans with a $5 donation to the Danos Cares fund.

Years ago, the fund began when the team would adopt needy families in the community during Christmastime and has evolved over the years.

As our employee base grew, the need to look outside of our Danos family to help became unnecessary. In the last couple of years, funds have been used to assist Danos employees who have fallen on hard times, faced extenuating life-changing circumstances or may be dealing with tragic health situations.

In the last few years, we have assisted a variety of cases dealing with the death of a child and spouse, loss of a limb, total loss in a home fire, assisting an employee with no extended family, extreme health problems in both a spouse and employee. Due to the personal and sensitive nature of these, and out of respect, we rarely publicize the actual situations. In most cases, the manager, supervisor and co-workers are personally involved in the care of the employee mentally and physically to accommodate for their work schedules.

Thank you to employees who donate each month to Danos Cares. To donate $5 a month employees can sign up for payroll deduction at payroll@danos.com.
