On February 19, 2019, the Danos Foundation presented the Dulac Community Center with a grant for $2,500. The Dulac Community Center is an autonomous, nonprofit agency whose focus is to provide comprehensive social services, emergency response and learning opportunities to the people of lower Terrebonne Parish, with emphasis given to the educational and personal development of women, children and families.

The Community Center aims to provide the community members with programs and services to meet their nutritional, housing and health needs and is the only non-governmental organization that serves the local and surrounding communities. Programs and services the center provides include housing rehabilitation, emergency food bank, thrift store, computer lab and recreation. With funding from the Danos Foundation, the Dulac Community Center will better support their Emergency Food Bank program, which serves a population with 26.4% of its people living below poverty. Last year, the food bank was able to help over 200 individuals provide meals for their families.
