Danos Offers Safety Training

By: The Pipeline

MANSFIELD, Penn. – Danos employee Shawn Wheeler is now an authorized instructor for the PEC Basic Orientation course, the most widely used safety orientation in the U.S. oil and gas industry. Danos actively manages employee compliance and development training through their proprietary employee management system.

Danos will now be able to provide in-house, certified safety training for new employees in the Appalachia region via the PEC Basic Orientation course, a program designed to take the place of multiple operator orientations and systematize safety training across the industry. Employees who successfully complete the 8-hour Basic Orientation course will achieve the SafeLandUSA and SafeGulf certifications accepted by most operators.

“In-house safety certification training gives us more flexibility when it comes to scheduling and bringing on new employees,” said Executive Vice President Paul Danos. “We can also provide this training for our customers’ employees as yet another Danos service offering.”

Danos’ ability to provide in-house safety instruction for its employees will allow the company to more efficiently onboard new staff as well as support its customers’ training needs. With locations in Mansfield and Canonsburg, Penn. and five years’ experience in the Marcellus-Utica region, Danos is prepared to respond quickly to increased demand for well-trained local talent as market conditions improve.
