Danos Reaches Four Years No Recordables with XTO

By: Rene Vidrine

Monday, August 7 marked 4 years (210,005 man hours) without an OSHA recordable incident with XTO Permian. This is a tremendous accomplishment that all involved should be very proud of! We all know this is a very dangerous business, with hazards surrounding us daily. It is your commitment to taking time to identify hazards with our job task analysis process and planning your work to either eliminate or work safely around these hazards that has led us to this outstanding milestone.

Your participation in our W.A.T.C.H. card program is outstanding. The stop work authorities and near misses captured are valuable learning tools shared throughout our workforce. Let’s continue the effort with this program.

In closing, I want to again thank every one of you for your commitment to safety. Danos is a values-driven company, with safety being a core value. You all have bought into the Danos culture, and are living proof that we can work incident-free for a number of years. We always have to remember to take it one task at a time, one day at a time. If we do that, along with our pre-job planning, we will continue to work incident-free!

Thanks again for all that you guys do, and keep up the great work!
