Danos WORKS in Action

22-Aug-2019

By: Renee Piper

On Friday, August 16, the Danos Foundation’s volunteer program, Danos WORKS, volunteered time at Live Oak Baptist Church in Pointe Aux Chenes, Louisiana.

The church, built in the 1930s, suffered significant damage during Hurricane Barry. Our WORKS volunteer team – Ryan Callais, Renee Chauvin, Eric, Paul, Mark and Isaiah Danos, Issac Dantin, Mike Guidry and Renee Piper – worked alongside church members to cut, hang and paint hardie board panels, paint sheetrock and relocate electrical boxes. The crew dined on a lunch of pastalaya and boiled shrimp prepared by Mike Guidry.

Thanks to all who were involved in solving this big challenge for our community!
