Danos Works Volunteer Spotlight

By: The Danos Foundation

In 2018, Compliance Coordinator Rick Keen logged 290 hours through the Danos WORKS portal. Through the Roman Catholic Church of the Diocese of Lafayette, he volunteers as a minister at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center weekly. Program Director Stephanie Bernard said, "For at least three years Mr. Keen has been responsible for coordinating the ministers' schedules, training prison ministers and serving as the liaison for the diocesan Office of Prison Ministry and the Lafayette Parish Correctional center. He is a wonderful asset to this ministry."

Danos WORKS will award $5 per hour for every hour a Danos employee volunteers his or her time at an approved 501(c) 3 or 170 (b) organization, and $10 per hour for every hour a Danos employee volunteers at an approved 501(c) 3 or 170 (b) organization that specifically targets community or Welfare challenges in areas where Danos lives or conducts business.
