Distefano and Gros Take on New Roles

By: Mark Danos

Distefano named General Manager of Fabrication; Gros transitions to Director of Fabrication.

We are proud to announce that Marc Distefano has been promoted to general manager of fabrication effective January 20.  Marc joined the Danos team in November 2015 as the Amelia fabrication operations manager.  With this promotion, Marc now has overall responsibility for Danos fabrication, covering both Amelia and Larose operations.

Glenn Gros’ responsibilities are shifting from operations focus to development and “capture”.  As we work to establish our Amelia operations in this current and challenging market, the efforts to convince customers of our ability to execute and then bid accurately are critically important.  Therefore, Glenn will be focused on working with the business development team to establish a flow of fabrication work, the bidding and estimating team to redefine the bidding and estimating processes to support those types of jobs, and operations for mentorship of execution processes.  This move allows the organization, outside of just fabrication, to fully leverage Glenn’s 40+ years of deep industry experience, fabrication expertise, and network.

We are excited for what this move will do to best facilitate the growth and development of the fabrication organization. Please join me in congratulating Marc and Glenn on taking on the challenges associated with their new roles.
