Mark Danos (above left) recognized Sam Hawkins (above right) from the Amelia yard and Jonathon Marx (below left) from Larose yard. Both of these gentlemen volunteered their time and talents including homework while studying for tests to become certified as Emergency Medical Responders. They join the existing EMR team members, Kallam Darby and Michael Anthony. We hope that we never need their skills as an Emergency Medical Responder; however, it is comforting to know that these employees are ready and prepared to help. Safety Compliance Coordinator Frances Kosak taught the course at the Amelia fabrication facility.

Training courses completed:

  • 60 hour state-approved Emergency Medical Responder Course, passed the state exam and received a State of Louisiana  EMS Practitioner license
  • Six hour American Heart Association – Basic Life Support course.
  • U.S. Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency Course
  • Incident Command System (ICS) 100 and
  • National Incident Management System (NIMS) 700
