Giving Back

Supporting STEM in Schools (Science Technology Engineering Math)

Thanks so much for your generous donation. The activity was a hit and we have discovered a few engineers in the bunch. Your donation provided the entire first grade with transportation to the event. This allowed the cost of the trip to remain affordable to every first grader. We are happy to report that 93 out of the 96 first graders attended the event. The Bricks4Kids program introduced the popular amusement ride tilt-a-whirl. The students learned and discovered the history and ideas behind the inventor. They proceeded to follow instructions to create their own miniature version of the tilt-a-whirl. After which some students recreated a few of other inventions using the Lego motor. A couple of boys put together a shaver using the gears and motor. They were engaged and inventive.

Our deepest gratitude to Danos,

M. Melancon
