Headquarters Update

17-Nov-2014

By: Brittney St. Pierre

let’s get physical! Having a gym at the workplace is not only convenient but beneficial to the company and its employees (that’s us!). Healthy employees are happy employees! Working out regularly results in a better night’s sleep, increased energy throughout the day, and ultimately, better productivity at work and home. Also, did you know that gym goers tend to get sick less often? That means less absenteeism and more PTO days for you to use having fun, not nursing a cold. Let’s not forget the financial incentive –gym memberships can be costly, so keep that monthly gym fee in your pocket, and treat yourself to something special.

The gym committee is reviewing the results of the recent survey and using the information to help guide decisions about equipment, classes, scheduling, etc. so we all have the best gym experience possible.

Below is a snapshot of the gym survey results:
92% of survey respondents are interested in using the gym.
64% plan to visit the gym 3-4 times per week.
42% plan to visit before working hours, while
57% plan to visit after the work day ends.
The top three reasons for visiting the gym include cardio, health improvement and weight loss.
Most of the respondents were interested in aerobic/cardio instructed classes followed by yoga, spin and strength-training classes.
Specifically, Crossfit and kickboxing classes were of majority interest.
Thank you all for your survey participation.
