General Manager of Control Systems Lucas Comeaux signed a deal to purchase the control panel portion of Danos’ automation business on Tuesday, April 30. With the purchase, Comeaux will leave Danos and launch his business, API Control Systems, Inc. (API). Comeaux is partnering with Brandon Verret, a five-year Danos employee; additionally, the 11-member Carencro-based manufacturing team has transitioned with Comeaux to API.

Danos will continue offering our customers seamless, turnkey project solutions by partnering with Comeaux on control panel and skid packaged automation projects. Our two companies – Danos and API – will collaborate on mutual opportunities, meaning API will contract Danos for field service projects, and Danos will contract API for panel and skid packaged automation projects.

Comeaux joined Danos in 2014 when the company purchased API Control System Solutions, Inc (APICSS). He has 24 years of control systems experience – 5 with Danos and 19 with APICSS where he began his career in an entry-level position in 1995 and rose to operations manager, a position he held for nine years. Danos has the utmost respect for Lucas, and we look forward to partnering on upcoming projects.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Danos, learned a lot, and sincerely appreciate this opportunity,” said Comeaux. “Danos’ management has treated my team very well over the years, and we look forward to continuing the positive relationship.”
