Volunteer from Your Couch!

By: Kathryne Lapeyrouse

As the world is changing and adapting to our new reality surrounding COVID-19, volunteer opportunities are evolving as well. There are many organizations going virtual. Just as you can shop for groceries without ever leaving your house, you can volunteer online now too. I have complied a list of some organizations that are seeking out volunteers to help their causes digitally.

Most of these organizations list their volunteer needs via their website. The needs range from administrative work, research, technology, translation, design, mentoring and so much more. For most, the sign up is easy and requires little information from you. There are some organizations that require some training, which is provided. The time required varies by need, averaging anywhere from one hour to 10 hours each week. Many of these are eligible to be logged with Danos WORKS, which will help raise money for these organizations as WORKS pays the organization $10 per hour for our employees who volunteer their time.
