Danos Manufacturing Group Becomes UL Listed

UL (originally Underwriters Laboratories) has been drafting safety standards and testing products for public safety for over a century and is one of OSHA’s nationally recognized testing laboratories. Danos’ manufacturing group, within the Automation Services business unit, can now provide UL Listed industrial control panels (ICPs). UL Listed custom-built (and mass produced) ICPs must be in compliance with the specific UL 508A standard and the mark provides evidence of third-party certification. The new designation should help differentiate Danos from competitors and give assurance to customers that the products are safe.

One of UL’s senior engineers recently visited the panel shop in Carencro, Louisiana for a walk-through and to provide training. He was impressed with the panel manufacturing operation already in place and felt that ongoing compliance/inspections should go well. The effort on Danos’ side is being led by Project Engineer/QAQC Representative Cody Romero and is another great example of Danos employees living the values of safety and improvement.
