One-Call. That's All.

Danos Pipeline Locator Jesus Flores recently received a shoutout during the weekly safety call for holding a contract company accountable for not following proper one-call protocol.

Jesus reported to work on a Monday morning and quickly noticed the contract company dug around the OXY line. Being that he receives all the one-calls, Jesus knew that no emergency one-calls were turned in over the weekend. He questioned the company, and they confirmed that they did dig without a one-call.

Jesus contacted the appropriate people at OXY to inform them, and he called Texas 811 to report the incident. It resulted in the company having to pay a fine for digging without a one-call. Luckily, there was no damage, but the company faced serious consequences due to one person not following proper protocol.

Thank you, Jesus, for your bias to action and dedication to work safely.
